THE 50 + 1 RULE FROM SPORTS-ECONOMIC AND COMPETITION LAW PERSPECTIVE

In the magazine Sport and law investigated lawyer Wieschemann together with Prof. Dr. Gregor Hovemann, Univ. of Leipzig, the relation of capital usage and likelihood of victory in a League and the consequences of sports economic knowledge for the competition law issues to be noted in the review of the lawfulness of regulatory intervention such as the 50 + 1 rule. The post came to the conclusion that an intervention is not only fundamentally legitimate but even necessary to obtain the principles of competition justice in a League.
