TRADEMARK PROTECTION AND ITS LIMITATIONS

In the series the MonSem Montags seminars of the Department of Economics of the Ruhr University Bochum, lawyer Wieschemann on invitation of the Bochum marketing initiative gave a lecture on the trademark rights of football associations of FIFA and UEFA, focusing on the 2006 World Cup and the Euro 2008 on the 9.6.2008. The focus was not only on the possibilities of course necessary protection, but also the natural limits of trademark protection for events that are more intense interaction with public life, like football events.
